Mittagong to Dungog

Day 9 - Glen Davis to Rylstone - 55kms

After retreating to my tent to escape the Mosquitos I had a really peaceful evening. This morning I noticed it was quite windy outside. As I'm running a little low on provisions I'm heading for Rylstone to restock, I was originally going to go to Dunns Swamp.

Nice quiet dirt road to start the day
When I started pedaling I noticed the wind was going to be a headwind for most of the way. At least I don't have too far to go today. For the first 20kms the road was mostly dirt, I was then back on the black stuff. As I knew I wouldn't be riding dirt for a few days I added a bit of pressure to the tyres, as I had reduced them a bit to go across the sandy bits over the last few days.

If it wasn't for the wind it would had been a nice ride. In saying that I still got to Rylstone in time for lunch. I have been here before on one of my previous tours (Mount Victoria tour). It's a pretty little town.

Once fed, I caught up with the laundry, blog updates and a bit of shopping. Then I rested for the afternoon. Tomorrow I'm going through the Bylong Valley. I've been told there is an annual race at Bylong tomorrow, so may have to have a look.
