Mount Gambier |
Well after relaxing yesterday I was all set to head for Mount Gambier this morning. The weather looked nice and not as windy compared to the last couple of days.
I stopped at Millicent for breakfast. Wasn't too much to see in this town, so was pleased with where I stayed last night. After breakfast I continued my ride to Mount Gambier, which was about 50km away. I got into Mount Gambier at about 12pm.
Mount Gambier is a major town in the region. It is famous for it's Blue Lake. After I setup camp I went for a ride around the lake and town. Stopped a few times to get some pictures of the lake, as it really is very blue. Not sure if the pictures show how blue the lake is though.
After a look around the town I headed back to the campsite to relax for the rest of the afternoon. Tomorrow I'm heading for Portland and then over the next few days will be going along the Great Ocean Road.
