Had a great night last night sleeping in my warm hut. This morning I awoke to a dawn chorus of numerous different birds singing. I think this has to be one of my favourite spots I have been to in all my cycle tours, so far.

I was also pleased to see that the sun is back and the rain as gone. Made a change not to wear my waterproof stuff. The first 65kms I went through a mixture of forests and open scrubland. I was making good time and got to Walpole in time for second breakfast. I then continued towards Denmark.

On the way to Denmark I took the turn off for the Valley of the Giants. This road takes you through a forest of large trees. Within this forest is a treetop walk. This walk is really cool, as you get to see a number of the large trees from the canopy.

A great way to see the giant trees

Some of the trees are an interesting shape

Once finished at the walk I continued on my way to Denmark. The ride again started to take me pass farms. About 15kms before Denmark I saw a sign say "toffee factory" and "free tastings". So of course I had to have a look. They certainly had a lot of tasty samples to try. I end up coming out with a couple of packets to enjoy after dinner.

When I arrived in Denmark I went to the YHA and checked in. Again the place is almost empty and I have a room to myself. The town is located on a river and is the biggest place I've been to since Dunsbourgh.

Denmark

Today has again been a really good day for riding. The weather was just perfect. Tomorrow I have a relatively short ride into Albany and possibly a day to relax on Sunday. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
