Day 6: Robe to Beachport

It was funny chatting to people at a campsite last night. As the two previous nights it was just me for company. I met this one family who are currently spending a year driving around Australia until they find somewhere they like and will setup home there. Their kids were loving all these new places they were seeing.
This morning I decided on a short ride to Beachport. After I had breakfast and packed my stuff away, I was riding around 7.30am. It was still windy, but not as bad as yesterday.
Didn't take long to get to Beachport, as it is about 50km from Robe. I arrived at around 10am and stopped for a coffee at the cafe near the jetty. The weather is really nice at the moment and Beachport seems like a nice small town.
After coffee I set up camp and unloaded the bike. I then went for a ride along the scenic drive. The route only went for about 5km, but the views along the coast were breathtaking. After I climbed each hill I was given more great views to enjoy. Plus I was the only one enjoying them.
Once I dragged myself away from the views I headed back into town to relax near the jetty. I was pleased I gave myself a shorter riding day, as it gave me more time to enjoy this lovely small town. Tomorrow I'll be heading towards Mount Gambier. My first major town since Adelaide.
